Amazon Kindle For Kids.....

I am a voracious reader and mother of twins too, so my hubby called it a dangerous combination !!! (Ha-Ha-Ha) Well I am not agree with him. I love reading that's why I am blogger by choice. I always pray to God please my babies must inherit this habit from me (finger cross).

My toddler growing so fast, both Shourya and Naksh are in Nursery now, this is exact time to introduce them to books and specially reading. I am tech savvy Mom, and always search for a good gadgets for my naughty kids, which help them to learn fast.

I am a shopaholic too, and Amazon is one of the best and trusted site for online shopping. Today I stumbled upon a very wonderful gadget Amazon Kindle For Kids. It quickly catch my attention and I check its features.  All-new attractive design is thinner and lighter, and now available in two color of black or white. Long lasting battery life. No screen glare, even in bright sunlight, unlike tablets, easy on your child eyes, just like like real paper.  Shop Kindle for Kids Bundle and #StartAStory . A mom recommendation......

Amazon specially designed with Kids in Mind. Kids can read books in a simple way. For example, kids can search before they know how to type by using Characters – for example, tap on images for “Dinosaurs”, “Monkey”, “Cinderella, or “fish.”

One more feature which I like the most is parent can choose and approve the contents. So parents can have peace of mind that kids won’t access inappropriate content or websites. A complete parental control. With this amazing Amazon Kindle Free Time, kids can track their reading progress for each book and also earn achievement badges for reaching milestones.

Features like Word Wise and Vocabulary Builder support real-time vocabulary development, which means kids can read more challenging books. Kids can adjust the text size. Also share library with family and friends.

sometimes “Oops” happens.....

As a mother of naughty twins, this feature is just like a blessing. I have no need to worries if Shourya and Naksh drop it. Or spill some liquid on it. Kindle comes with 2-year extended warranty, include water damage. It comes with kid-friendly cover. This cover guard its screen from scratches.

Here I want to share my experience  with all of you. I remember the day when I Shourya and Naksh both sit on my lap and I started reading a story of Mogali a famous character from Jungle Book series. Just a few days back we all saw a movie and both are very excited to read the same story. Both listen to me very carefully, ask me question about it. It was very special MeTime with my adorable kids.

Catch Up on Lost Growth in Kids !!!

As a mother of twins I always worried about by babies growth.  Both of my Boys Shourya and Naksh are blessed with fussy eating habits with completely different likes and dislikes. Well jokes apart like any other parent my main concern is to feed them nutritious complete food.

As a mother I also grow up with my Shourya and Naksh, with the time I learn to deal fussiness positively. As a mother I want to develop good eating habits in them so they can have healthy childhood and #CatchUpOnGrowth.

Its very important to visit the doctors regularly and ask for healthy diet for kids, as a parents we have to make this habit and follow this routine since the child born. Having a healthy food and complete diet is a new milestone in child development.

Shourya and Naksh both are in Nursery, when I go to their school to pick them up and see them  playing with their classmates, suddenly some questions comes in my mind Is my child lighter in weight , shorter in height than other kids?? This types of questions continuously hit in my mind.

As a mother I know no child in the world grows at a perfectly steady rate throughout the period of childhood.

My Pediatric a told me that child’s growth is an important indicator of his overall well-being. And every parent must keep a regular watch on child’s normal physical as well as mental growth is extremely important.

Recently I come across a growth plus calculator. This is very easy to use and helpful for all the young parents to track how your child is growing. They were show you a chart of your child growth and we can also download that chart. This is the link. http://growthpluscalculator.horlicks.in/

What are the main cause of slower growth in kids?

There are so many reason of slow growth in child, some of them may be completely risk-free as some kids will catch the growth when they get older. They gain weight and their height also increase.
However, there are some other serious reasons for the slower growth of the kids. It may certain disease which affects liver or digestive system or poor nutrition. In some cases it may be hereditary that kids body is not making enough growth hormone, which is responsible for making them grow tall .

But, the most common reason among the above is that the meal time is not a very pleasant experience for both kids and parents, it became a battlefield for them. Young and new mom don’t know how to handle this and became panic.

What exactly we need to do to Catch Up On Growth?

Horlicks Growth Plus - with 23 vital growth nutrients - is a great addition to your child’s daily breakfast routine. Giving Horlicks at breakfast time leaves you reassured that you have provided your children with a great start to the day! As a parents we all know the importance of breakfast for a child to start a day. A morning meal with complete nutrients helps child physical and mental development.

Pediatric Experts say children need more protein than adults for proper growth. Insufficient protein i may lead to slower growth in kids. So, proper diet rich with proteins is extremely important for the child.

Involve your child in cooking, I am sure just like my Shourya and Naksh so many kids would love to prepare their breakfast. This year I create a kitchen garden in my house backyard and plant some veggies there, off course Shourya and Naksh love gardening too. Both love to see their small plants now  grow  into vegetables.

Wake up to a Gold Morning !!!

Leave the worries of last night to darkness and let the light of motivation and inspiring things take control of your mind and actions. Start a beautiful morning and end up with a successful and blessed day. – By Justin Mayer

What a wonderful and positive thought to start a beautiful day. I am a morning person just like my grandfather, we all call him “Pappa” he taught us to get up in early morning. When I heard about this lines “Wake up to a Gold Morning” I went back in my childhood memories, I still remember how he used to drop us in our school in the morning.

My day starts at 5 in the morning. Both Shourya and Naksh are in nursery now, so I have to prepare their Tiffin first. And then the real struggle begins to wake up the kids and make them ready for school.  After dropping them to the school my day actually started. As I am a fitness freak I never skip my work out. I do aerobics and dance for one hour every day.

This year I made so many resolutions for myself, keep myself fit is one of them. And Dance is something which filled tremendous positive energy in my mind and body. Dance makes my morning gold. After doing these entire things I return to my home and go to my wash room for freshen up, my morning turn 24 carat gold when I see Colgate 360° Charcoal Gold tooth brush. Apart from its stunning looks, it also cleans my teeth, tongue, cheeks and gums. No wonder, it's the called “Gold Standard of Whole Mouth Cleaning”.  It is a new product by the well known and trusted worldwide brand, Colgate.

If you value your teeth, and want to have good teeth without cavities then Colgate 360° Charcoal Gold tooth brush is something that one can go for. This wonder brush comes with very slim bristles which reach the insides of the teeth easier; the brushing is smoother than ever happen to me. The black bristles in the middle part are supposed to be charcoal infused. #Colgate360GoldMornings tooth brush keeps you feel fresh all the day and believe me this works.

So in my point of view every morning can be a Gold morning. The sun is new each day. For me, my twinkle twins Shourya and Naksh smiling faces makes my every morning gold. I love thinking about them and when I remember their smiling face this actually make my day awesome. Every morning I think about the last day spend with my kids, laughing, dancing and singing with them, teach them small words and there meaning which put a sweet little smile on my face.

So my friends be early riser, and don't miss that beautiful early morning light. #Colgate360GoldMornings

Festive Cheers - Shourya and Naksh Celebrating Tanha Pola...

Yesterday it was a Tanha Pola festival. It is one of the big celebrations in our Chandrapur city. Actually in this we have to teach our kids that why we worship bulls, an animal that symbolise hard work.  So my mom and I decide to take Shourya and Naksh and show them this fascinating Tanha Pola celebration.

As we all know Pola is a bull-worshipping festival celebrated by farmers mainly in Maharashtra especially in rural areas of Maharashtra. On the day of Pola, the farmers decorate and worship their bulls with the aim of giving them rest for a day in the entire year. Bulls are also known as farmer’s best friends.

Roads are filled with colours, after a long time I saw my city very colourful. People started gathering to see decorative wood bulls. We have to leave that place soon as my babies not very much comfortable in crowded area. But we all enjoy a lot. Shourya cry for balloon. It’s difficult for me to carry Shourya and balloon at the same time, so he didn't get the balloon.

Here I am sharing some beautiful and colourful pics of Tanha Pola celebration, hope all of you like it.

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
On 29th July 2014 my babies turn 2. Their bday is very important day for me. I woke up very early in that morning around 3.30 am. Look into the watch and then check out my babies are sleeping properly or not. I know that today was a big day for me and my babies also. Its a big milestone of their life.

From last 1 week my whole family my Mom, Dad, my Bro and my Sista we all are discuss only about Shourya and Naksh Bday and checking the list again and again so we will not left anything. Planning party for twins can be exciting and challenging at the same time but I am lucky to have loving and caring family who stood strong behind me and make it easy to celebrate Shourya and Naksh special day in style.

One week before I was send the invite to all expected guest. My sista and me decide the western dress code for party. Happy Father's Day...

My Shourya and Naksh celebrating Father's Day, wish their Daddy with lot of love and a tight hug from both.

I found this wonderful poem of Dad on internet and wanna share with my all readers.

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

Here sharing some loving moments of Shourya and Naksh with their Dad.

Green Tea For Mom's

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

I would like to tell all mom's that all of you start having green tea. I personally feel the benefits of it. Just two week back I had started having it every morning, and I feel so much change in my body. I feel more energetic, more stamina. Research proves that Green tea is the healthiest beverage on the planet. It is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body. This includes improved brain function, fat loss, a lower risk of cancer and many other incredible benefits.
Green tea helps to prevents cancer, heart disease and also help in weight loss. Green tea can help increase and even change your metabolism, so you burn more calories from fat. Experts studies show that green tea can also help you keep weight off once you've lost it. I also read in magazine that It burns up belly fat. Research at Tufts University indicates that EGCG in green tea, like other catechise, activate fat-burning genes in the abdomen to speed weight loss by 77 percent. Its a great news for all mom's who fighting everyday to get rid of belly fats.

Other studies have found that green tea is helpful in preventing dental cavities, stress, chronic fatigue, treating skin conditions and improving arthritis by reducing inflammation.

Green tea is considered one of the world's healthiest drinks and contains the highest amount of antioxidants of any tea. The natural chemicals called poly-phenols in tea are what are thought to provide its anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic effects.

I would like to suggest all mom's, If you're breastfeeding a baby or toddler, it's probably fine to have one or two cups of green tea per day, so long as you and your baby don't have any medical conditions that can be exacerbated by caffeine. However, green tea supplements can contain dangerously large amounts of caffeine and could be hazardous to a nursing mom's or her baby. It's best to play it safe by avoiding green tea supplements while you're nursing unless your doctor specifically recommends taking them.

Playdate...

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

Last couple of month I was thinking about an arranging a play date for Shourya and Naksh. As both were growing up so fast so its a right time both get along with other kids too. But arranging play date for my kids is a very difficult task for me, coz in my neighbour there were no kids. So the first task is search the kids who can play with my kids. I was aware that first play date can arrive with some challenges. Like how to share toys and take turns. How to play nicely. And how to be a good host and a good guest. I remember how my babies would always get wriggly with excitement when they spot another member of the stroller set passing by? No doubt about it, children are born social animals. The problem is, they’re not born with social skills. Practice won’t make play date perfect, but it’ll definitely help get your soon-to-be-social-butterfly’s future of friendships off to the right start.

Summer vacation started and some of our relatives drop in our place along with their kids so I think it was a great idea to arrange first play date for Shourya and Naksh with their new friends Kanishk and Tanay. All four boyes are easy to mange I guess. Thankfully Kanishk and Tanay were elder than my Shourya and Naksh so they easily understand my instruction and play carefully with Shourya and Naksh.

Its very important to monitor the play session and keep watch how your baby play with other kids, share the toys and his space. There is simple protocol to handle my kids when they were with other kids is, let them play free, but I keep a constant watch. When all four boys playing together and screaming, running here and there in the room, I click there pics, take a video to make it memorable.

I usually see in play date parents leave there children all alone to play and they get busy in their chat, they never get involved in kids activities. That's not called a play date, its need to involved completely and keep watch on your kids activities. Play dates is the wonderful way to teach your and develop the social skills of your kids. It may not be rocket science, but handling toddler play dates does have its challenges.

Shourya and Naksh behave really well in their first play date. Doing lot of masti, having lots of fun with friends. I click some wonderful pics. Both love their new friends Kanishk and Tanay. Soon we plan the next play date.

Just For Laugh

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
To I read this quote and liked it so much and wanna share this with my readers. And also also share this wonderful video. And I hope you all also enjoy a lot like I do.

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

Mango Time....

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers
“I LOVE MANGO”. Everything comes in this statement.Title sound really very tempting. I am proudly accepting this that I love mango fruit very much. Mango filled my childhood with very beautiful memories. I still remember how my grand father we three used to call him "PAPPA" brought mango for us, teach us how to make a juice out of it, how we all brother and sister use to enjoy mangoes and learn how to make a mango juice called “Aamras” from “Pappa”. Ohh how badly I want to go back to my childhood I can't explain in few words, those were really a golden days of my life. Today I miss PAPPA so much. I know His love and blessing are always with us.

I remember in my childhood mom once take all of us to my Badi Mummy’s place for summer vacation, its small village in Bhandara District called Sukdi, were my Bade Baba and badi mummy stays. He was a farmer and have mango tree garden were we all enjoy fresh mangos. We were stay there for a week, every morning my Bade Baba take us to the farm, were so many mango trees filled with green and yellow mangos. I remember the sweet and fresh smell of those mangos, it make me very nostalgic. Last month we lost our Bade Baba, its a big shock for whole family. I remember his smiling and content face, is hard working and positive attitude toward life.

Last year in summer my babies were 9 month old and I stared to feed him with some solid food including fruit juice. Both Shourya and Naksh loves mango like me and enjoy mango juice. I use to give them mango juice daily, sometimes twice in a day. I wanna tell this to all mom’s that mango juice is very good for babies health, it will help to gain weight and babies enjoys its taste too. Its a wholesome baby food. Mango rich with vitamin A,C,K,E and rich source of potassium.

I am planning to start a new page about baby food recipes in my blog. Now working on it. Need all my readers wishes. Thanks.

Mother To a Twin Toddlers...

I still remember those days of my pregnancy when my loving and experience mom would tell me, “Sleep all you want to, for once the babies comes and sleep will be a history”. Seriously I want to forget those nightmare days of breastfeeding and diaper changing”. And as I twins boys, the task has been double.

I always wonder why those ladies lie to me that they enjoy a lot breastfeeding and diaper changing and think it’s an easiest part. Now my twins Shourya and Naksh are 1 and ½ year old, both grow up with two different personalities with strong like and dislikes, especially about food. One day both like a certain food and next day they won’t. If I feed them forcefully they make a face and started crying. Though I go by the famous saying that a baby can never stay hungry, there are times when I doubt this. Because my two naughty son’s Shourya and Naksh is more than happy to go without food if it’s not their favorite food.

Bathing Shourya and Naksh is another herculean task. Both doesn’t want to bathe at all and both doesn’t want to come out of the bathroom and continue playing with water and their bath toys. Shourya always behave like a good boy at the time of bath, he hold his bath toy and play with it. But Naksh he is too much, he loves to play with water and make me wet too.

As time passes, I realize my job is not only to feed, bathe or play with my little one, but a lot more. My Mind is awake for 24/7. I need to be a magician for quickly hiding anything objectionable (car keys, mobile phone etc) under my ample bottom or the pillow or any place where she will not look for. I need to be a master story teller (ok, a liar, if you please) to distract Shourya and Naksh.  I need to constantly innovate and evolve because my babies are growing smarter with each day. And on top of it all, I need patience.

So that’s my life as a mother to a twin toddlers…so many jobs rolled into one.

Bring On The Summer...

Summer is start and as a young mom my worries about my babies health is also start. Summer is a tricky season for keeping the babies safe and comfortable. Summer comes with so many problem like angry heat rash, damaging sunburn, heatstroke. As a mom I always make sure my little Shourya and Naksh stays cool and protected during the long, hot days of summer. I follow this simple tips which I want to share with all mom’s and hope it is helpful for them.

Baby room must have proper Ventilation:
Since a baby doesn't perspire effectively, he can become overheated far more quickly than an adult. That's why you should never leave an infant in a hot room or a parked car. Even a few minutes could cause his temperature to spike and, in extreme cases, may prove life-threatening.

Pick the Right Clothes for babies:
A good rule of thumb: "Dress the baby the way you're dressed," Dr. Epstein says. If you're going to be indoors, dress your infant in loose-fitting, lightweight garments, preferably made from a natural fiber like cotton, always avoid synthetic fabric. For the outdoors, put baby in light-colored long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat to shield her face. Resist the temptation to leave her exposed on a gray day, since harmful rays can penetrate the clouds.

Keep your baby Hydrated:
Dehydration is one of the problem every baby facing. A flushed face, skin that's warm to the touch, rapid breathing, and restlessness may be warning signs of dehydration. Babies over 6 month can take modest amount of water. Always remember Babies should drink at least 50 percent more than usual in the summer.

Time Outdoor Activities Wisely:
The worst time for your baby (and you, for that matter) to be outdoors is between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the sun does the most harm to skin, says Eric Siegel, M.D., a dermatologist in Millburn, New Jersey. Always plan outdoor excursions for before or after this peak period.

Seek Out Shade:
When you arrive at the beach or the park, look for a protected spot, such as under a tree, an umbrella, or a canopy. A handy item to take to the shore is a tent made of fabric treated to block the sun's harmful rays. Make sure it has see-through mesh sides for proper ventilation. Sunglasses for your little one are a good idea, to protect her eyes and reduce glare; the label should state that the lenses block at least 99 percent of ultraviolet (UVA and UVB) radiation.

Skin Soothers:
If the baby sweats profusely during hot, humid weather, tiny red bumps may start to cluster on babies neck or groin, in the folds of his or her skin at the back of his or her knees, or in the crease of his or her  elbows. To relieve heat rash, remove her sticky outfit and dress her in loose cotton clothes (or simply a diaper), and apply baby powder to the affected areas. Keeping her in a cool, well-ventilated room will help relieve symptoms.

I hope this tips help all mom, I am following this simple tips and I am sure this will help other mom too, they all enjoy this summer with their babies and say happily and loudly bring on the summer…

First Time Watching Rain...

Shourya and Naksh standing in the window and watching and enjoying the rain, its just delighted to see both, Both screaming and running in excitement.

On 1st march there was a unexpected heavy rain in chandrapur, since morning it was a cloudy atmospheres and we all are just guessing about the rain fall.

In my childhood I don’t like rain at all as it was a school time, vacation had been over and regular school was started, later I went to college that time I was quite OK with rain as I was understand its important in our life, but still rain disturb my routine which I don’t like.

When I was pregnant in December 2011  and my doctor told me my due date is 29 Aug 2012, my mom became very panic as she worried more about wet cloths, well jocks apart, as far my experience rainy season is quite unhealthy for babies as there were so many contagious virus in the air.

As my babies so much in hurry  to see this big world, they came one month before on 29 July. When shourya and Naksh was born there were no rain for first three days and after that there was a continues rain fall.

When I hit my teens that time I learn more about nature and I started appreciated it and understand its importance also, since them the extreme condition of nature not at all bother me much.

When I was pregnant I always think about how my babies will take the natures, where they like it or not. But I was decided I will make my babies nature love and make them sensitive towards nature. And on 1st march Shourya and Naksh actually experiencing the first rain of their life, both enjoy a lot, both were standing near the window and saw rainfall and lighting and there was no fear of sound and light, both actually laugh, clap and run here and there. Its really a happiest moments for mother to see her kids also appreciate the things which she like. I always had this little fear in my mind that this “BORN FOR INTERNET” generation only hang around with gadgets and its difficult to get along with mother nature, but my shourya and Nakash prove me wrong.

But now I am happy to see that Shourya and Naksh are nature lover too.  I try to capture both of them in my camera but I can’t as both are running, but somehow I mange to click Naksh. I share that pic with u guys. And I hope like me all young mom wants their children to be nature lover.
